[SEOUL, South Korea] – WEFLO, a predictive maintenance solution company for future mobility, announced today that it has been listed as a startup in the Drone segment of the 'Emerging Tech: Top-Funded Startups in Physical AI' report(3 September 2025), published byGartner. Notably, WEFLO is the only Korean company listed in the report's Drone segment, which we believe its technology and market potential on a global scale.

According to Gartner: “in this research, we examined 130 physical AI startups that received venture capital (VC) funding from January 2023 through June 2025. These startups collectively raised $12.3 billion in VC funding, from which we have identified several critical trends in physical AI investment.” WEFLO was included in the list of  nine startups that raised the most funding in the Drone category.

Physical AI is a technology that enables autonomous systems, such as robots, autonomous vehicles, and smart spaces, to perceive, understand, and perform complex actions in the real world. It was one of the most prominent topics at CES 2025. Jensen Huang, CEO of nVIDIA, continuously emphasized the importance of Physical AI during his keynote address.

The Gartner report It specifically notes that “rather than relying on generic components, leading startups are building unified drone platforms where every element, from the drone’s image-gathering hardware to the control and analytics software, is designed to work seamlessly together.”

Since spinning off from Hanwha Systems in 2022, WEFLO has been developing solutions capable of diagnosing the health of electric mobility—starting with drones and expanding to air taxis (UAM) and electric vehicles—using AI non-contact methods. WEFLO’s AI diagnostic solution is being continuously advanced through deployment to mobility manufacturers and operators. The scope of diagnosis is expanding beyond the conventional areas of propulsion and structural components to include △Batteries △Geomagnetic/Accelerometer/Gyro Sensors △FCC Unit, and Communications Unit. Furthermore, WEFLO has recently achieved recognition for its technological prowess by being selected for a KITIA (Korea Information and Communications Technology Association) project.

WEFLO CEO, Yee Jung Kim, stated, "We believe, being listed as the only Korean drone startup in a report by  Gartner is a significant achievement that validates WEFLO's technology and market potential on the global stage. We will continue to maximize customer operating efficiency through tightly integrated AI and hardware solutions, set the predictive maintenance standards for the future mobility industry, including drones, and actively target the global market."
