WEFLO, a company specializing in future aviation mobility (AAM) solutions, will participate in "DSK 2025," which will be held in BEXCO, Busan from February 26 to February 28.

DSK (Drone Show Korea), which celebrates its 10th anniversary this year, has changed its name from "Drone Show Korea" and has been reborn as an exhibition of the future mobility industry. It is an exhibition in which companies from various fields such as drone, UAM, and aviation mobility participate to showcase the latest technologies and solutions, and this exhibition will be held with 1,120 booths from 300 companies.

WEFLO will co-operate the "K-drone delivery center" with the Korea Institute of Aviation Safety (KIAST) and the Korea Transportation Safety Authority (TS). They have been pushing for a 'K-drone delivery commercialization project' with the aim of spreading commercial drone delivery services. In the project, the Ministry of Land, Infrastructure and Transport was in charge of establishing the drone delivery system and related regulations, the Korea Transportation Safety Authority was in charge of safety management, and the Aviation Safety Technology Institute was in charge of operation and business management of delivery infrastructure. In order to establish a drone delivery model, infrastructure such as establishing a distribution and logistics system and designating delivery bases and delivery stores was secured, and WEFLO was in charge of establishing infrastructure for drone delivery bases for some local governments across the country.

The "K-drone delivery officer" introduces drone delivery infrastructure through the installation of the drone identification management system (K-DRIMS) according to the "K-drone delivery standard plan", situation rooms and take-off and landing sites in delivery bases, and promotes the achievements of the K-drone delivery commercialization project. In addition, it will consist of a variety of programs, including virtual reality (VR) simulator experience, exhibition of new unmanned vertical take-off and landing aircraft, and demonstration of drone inspection pads. The Aviation Safety Research and Extension Services will introduce national demonstration projects related to drones, the current status of drone infrastructure operations, and drone traffic management R&D projects.

The drone situation management center, which will be introduced by the Korea Transportation Safety Authority (K-DRIMS), will continue to conduct systematic safety management for operators operating invisible and long-distance drones such as drone delivery by monitoring drone approval information, airframe information (reporting number, etc.) and drone location and altitude in real time based on the drone identification management system (K-DRIMS).

In addition, the Korea Transportation Safety Authority provides simulation experiences such as search and search for disaster sites through virtual reality (VR)-based drone mission-specific educational contents operated at the Siheung Drone Education Center. In addition, the public sector's educational unmanned vertical takeoff and landing aircraft "Spider-1" will also be introduced at Gimcheon Drone Qualification Center. "Spider-1" is designed for environmental research and marine monitoring and management missions, and can stay in the air for up to 50 minutes in fixed-wing flight mode and boasts a top speed of 100 KPH.

WEFLO participated in the Ministry of Land, Infrastructure and Transport's "Drone Demonstration City Construction Project" last year and established drone delivery centers in about 130 locations nationwide. This infrastructure consists of control buildings, logistics buildings, and take-off and landing pads, and supports safe delivery through integrated operations such as drone delivery status management, drone inspection and maintenance, and data computerization. At the exhibition site, a drone inspection pad with a built-in multi-modal sensor will present a demonstration to check the soundness of drones in a contactless manner before takeoff.

COO Jeong-wan Koh of WEFLO will participate as a speaker at the conference on the 27th, the second day of the exhibition, and will present the topic of "AI-based Future Aviation Mobility (AAM) Industry Trends and AI Technology Utilization." It will analyze the gas development trend of the global AAM market, which will grow rapidly to about 60 trillion won in 2030, and the impact of AI-based inspection technology on the AAM industry and present a future blueprint.

"We are meaningful to introduce Wiplo's drone inspection technology and solutions through DSK 2025's K-drone delivery center," said Yee-jung Kim, CEO of WEFLO. "We will continue to play a key role in the growth and safety of the drone delivery industry and contribute to the development of the industry through Wiplo's automatic inspection solution."
