Wiplo, a future aviation mobility (AAM) solution startup, announced on the 3rd that it participated in the world's largest air taxi exhibition "AIRTAXI World Congress" held in London, England.
Wiplo unveiled the 'Intelligent AAM Inspection (IAI) Platform' using artificial intelligence (AI) technology at this exhibition. The IAI platform is an automated gas inspection solution applicable to Bertiport and Hangar, enabling more accurate and efficient gas management than conventional visual inspections. It is possible to check the condition of the driving unit and external defects in a non-contact manner, thereby increasing safety and reducing operating costs.
In the case of the IAI platform, it is a modular type that can apply the desired technology to the desired space and can also be applied to existing infrastructure. In the case of air taxi airframe manufacturers, the solution can be introduced to the end of line (EOL) in the manufacturing stage during mass production to reduce the cost of flight testing through automatic inspection. In the case of Bertieport, more aircraft can be operated by reducing the TAT (turnaround time) of the aircraft by automating the pre-flight check. In addition, in the case of Airlines, it can be applied to hangers to maximize gas utilization by accurately identifying the state of the gas and maintaining predictions.
Wiplo ran its promotional booth during the exhibition and held one-on-one meetings with a number of global companies. Collaboration discussions were also held with major air taxi airframe manufacturers such as Archer Aviation, Electra Aero, and Volocopter, as well as Bertieport companies such as Skyports and Hyundai Elevator. "These companies are showing high interest in Wiplo's IAI platform and are actively considering the possibility of interworking with their solutions and systems," Wiplo said.
"Through our participation in the Air Taxi World Congress, we have confirmed the possibility in the European market, which is leading the growth of the global AAM market, and laid the foundation for cooperation with global partners," said Kim Se-hee, head of Wiplo's communication team. "We will continue to grow into a leading company in the global market by innovating air stability and operational efficiency, which will be the core of the AAM industry through our AI inspection solution."
