Defense Innovation Company 100 is a project to discover small and medium-sized venture companies with innovative technologies and select them as defense innovation companies, focusing on five major defense high-tech strategic industries such as space, drones, semiconductors, artificial intelligence (AI), and robots.

Wiplo will be selected in the drone field, receive up to 5 billion won in state funding for technology development projects over the next five years, and receive comprehensive benefits such as consulting, funding, R&D support, and export support.

Wiplo is a startup that has developed a smart landing pad called "verti-Pit" that can check future mobility conditions such as drones, air taxis, and electric vehicles in a non-contact manner using "AI & Fusion Sensor" technology and predict and repair aging of aircraft and parts replacement cycles.

Wiplo is also laying the foundation for smart infrastructure in preparation for the commercialization of future aviation mobility (AAM) in 2030. This year, the Ministry of Land, Infrastructure and Transport is establishing a drone delivery center in local governments across the country through the "K-drone delivery commercialization project" and providing an integrated infrastructure that allows not only inspection but also control and logistics delivery.

Wiplo explained that his excellent technology and business direction were recognized by the Defense Acquisition Program Administration as innovative and essential technologies for national development, and he was named as a "disaster innovation company 100."

"Many drone companies in Korea are entering the defense and AAM markets, and among them, Wiplo has been selected as a company with innovative and leading technologies in the 'drone sector' among the top five high-tech strategic industries of defense through airframe safety inspection solutions," said Kim Eui-jung, CEO of Wiplo. "We plan to actively advance and commercialize Wiplo's 'AI & Fusion Sensor' technology through state funding in the future."
