Wiplo (CEO Kim Eui-jung), a company specializing in future aviation mobility (AAM) solutions, has started targeting the U.S. market. As an official member of NASA and the AAM Working Group (WG) in Georgia, the United States, it announced on the 3rd that it will enter the U.S. market in earnest.

AAM WG is a group to accelerate the development of large-scale AAM flight operations of future air mobility. Through periodic online and offline meetings between member companies, △ identifying major technology trends in the industry △ identifying related regulations and policy trends △ discuss items such as networking and partnerships between member organizations.

The AAM WG operated by NASA consists of four WGs: Aircraft, Airspace, Community Integration, and Crosscutting. The Community Integration WG, to which Wiplo belongs, is a group that aims to achieve public integration of AAM vehicle operations in and around metropolitan areas by addressing social concerns related to AAM such as safety, security, affordability, noise, privacy, and legality. Credible organizations such as the US FAA and TSA and global companies such as Skyports, Wisk, and NUAIR are working as official members of NASA's AAM WG.

Wiplo is also included in AAM WG at Augusta Airport in Georgia, the first Korean startup to participate in the commercialization of air taxis in March, and plans to participate in the introduction of the "AAM Safety Education Program" in cooperation with the Georgia Department of Transportation. Through this NASA AAM WG membership activity, we will identify the latest trends and technologies in the US AAM market, develop customized AAM solutions tailored to the local market, and establish a business strategy that can preemptively respond by identifying industry-related regulations and policy changes.

It is in the "AAM Smart Solution" being developed by the company that Wiplo was able to approve the two groups as official members. Wiplo acquired data on the state of powertrains such as drones, air taxis, and electric vehicles in just 10 seconds, learned and analyzed them using artificial intelligence (AI), and developed "prediction maintenance" technology for future mobility platforms.

"Joining NASA AAM WG will be an important foothold for Wiplo to grow into a competitive company in the U.S. AAM market," said Kim Eui-jung, CEO of Wiplo. "We will become a leading company in the global AAM market by focusing on discussing partnerships with international organizations, associations, and global companies through networking."
