  • AI-based mobility diagnosis technology contributes to the creation of a defense innovation ecosystem

WEFLO, an AI-based mobility diagnosis solution company, will participate in the Defense Industry Council, which was officially launched by the Korea Startup Forum.

The Korea Startup Forum announced that it has officially launched the Defense Industry Council, a consultative body involving innovative startups in defense to transform artificial intelligence in the defense sector and strengthen the competitiveness of the defense industry.

The launch of the council was pushed as the demand for startups to incorporate innovative technologies into the defense sector increased amid the government's strategy to foster the defense industry in earnest. In particular, the need for cooperation with startups is growing in the existing defense ecosystem centered on large corporations, and the demand for an official window to connect the public and private sectors is also increasing.

A total of 19 companies will participate in the council, including WEFLO, Makinarax, BonAi, Vueron, Saltlux, Stellar Vision, Aseta, Ellis, CosuroTech, SIA and Twelbraps.

The council plans to improve regulations that hinder the growth of defense startups in the future, suggest policies for innovation in the defense procurement system, attract investment specialized in defense, enter the global defense market, and create opportunities for demonstration.

Meanwhile, the first co-chair of the Korea Startup Forum Defense Industry Council was Yoon Sung-ho, CEO of industry-specific AI company Makinarax, and Dokyung Lee, CEO of physical AI system company Bon AI. In the future, the council plans to represent the voices of startups with defense innovation technologies and establish a systematic communication system with the government and related organizations.
